☆3/☆5 Macan

Macan works as a fairly self-sustained bruiser, with Tenacity on demand to reduce incoming damage, which paired with Guts by moving can make him extremely durable even against the odds, averting KOs constantly thanks to it. Macan's Mutant Weretiger complements the rest of his skills in terms of durability through a fairly huge self-heal and gives him a damage buff he needs in order to improve his standard damage to considerable levels. He may work as a last-man standing, but if Guts doesn’t proc, he’s done for. Brawn is a fairly uncommon buff, so it easily stacks with more-common offensive buffs, alternatively, it’s possible to further enhance his survivability through defensive buffs, though remember to keep Guts up in case anything goes wrong.

☆4 Macan (Story Variant)

The definition of an extremely Charge-focused unit and for good reason, Macan has Unmoving's Immobility as a huge CP steroid and Berserker to help pushing it further makes clear he must be capitalized on it, his Charge is a humongous mass-Bind that promptly shuts down every enemy from casting any skill, it can quickly turn the tide of a fight to your favor with incredible ease, though it’s best used as early as possible in a level and if you’re ready to shrug off his own Bind too. His damage is also modest if under LB3 and his self-heal helps his survivability a bit. The only glaring issue is his attack range paired with his difficulty moving around, making it much harder for him to get to hit something and approach any possible offensive potential, he’s very party-reliant and appreciates others who can do the job in the offensive department while he’s helped by a dedicated cleanser/healer/support. He’s a very challenging, strategy-requiring unit that pays off incredibly well if you do it right.

☆3/☆5 Macan

Class: Bruiser

Gameplay Role:

Pros

+ Traditional increased durability thanks to Tenacity on demand through LB1.

+ LB2 Guts almost on demand can prove great to keep him alive in situations where he’d be KO’d, surviving just barely very frequently, further raising his durability.

+ Mutant Weretiger offers a plethora of things, namely a humongous self-heal, some CP and a damage buff that can easily add up to other more-common buffs, which also extends to his Charge’s damage.

Cons

- Charge isn’t too great effect-wise, making Default a little useless, what with its trigger method requiring to be hit most of the time.

- Mutant Weretiger only really matters for the heal and the damage buff, due to the previous point, the CP isn’t that welcome, the healing may be outdone if he’s not properly used.

☆4 Macan (Story Variant)

Class: Bruiser, Disruptive Support

Gameplay Role:

Pros

+ Default grants him a great heal and Immobile, which in exchange of being unable to be moved (though others can move him around) grants him huge amounts of CP every turn.

+ LB1 Guts for him and his allies serves well as insurance against the odds.

+ LB3 Attack Up serves to amplify his damage and ensure decimating whatever he can hit, especially his Charge.

+ Charge is easily reached earlier thanks to Immobile and LB2, which applies Bind to every enemy on the map, the damage reduction part may not be strong, but it still nullifies skill casting and can ensure an easy victory.

Cons

- Cursed by an awful attack range and the fact that he must be moved around by someone else, which as an already range-lacking attack range can prove difficult to use him.

- Charge also Binds him, he’ll really need specifically Cleanse if he wants not to be self-crippled, especially by next level.
