☆3/☆4 Toji

Toji is a mix of a defensive support and bruiser, LB2 is a bit tricky to pull off, but benefits his party if it procs thanks to increased durability, his Default has an initially low proc rate, but when upgraded, it becomes a guaranteed proc, making him a formidable protector of whatever is behind him, it and LB2 can ensure a lot of resistance for your protected ally and whatever is besides him. What makes him much stronger is his LB3, Double Seal is quite a crippling ailment, for it completely blocks both skill cast and charge cast altogether, the latter is a bit more situational, but nonetheless good. He gets a nice Brawn buff every start of level, that should be approached when it procs, especially if he has his Charge up.

☆5 Valentine Toji

Trading his swords for being a waiter, Toji (Valentine) is the first twist to the defensive support archetype that bolsters both his and his allies endurance considerably well simply by attacking, this alone is an extremely standout feature that only gets supplemented by the rest of his set. He has both his LB3 and a constant Concentration up to make him a formidable bruiser as well which allows him to diversify his roles quite a bit, add to this he retains his almost unique Double Seal and there’s little issues you can have with this fine waiter. The only glaring issue is his subpar Charge past damage and the fact he can’t reliably heal outside of it, something that is a deciding factor for defensive supports to be the best they can be, he also faces stiff competition with the likes of Surtr, Tangaroa and especially Aizen, all which can do his job in various other ways. Nonetheless, he has very little room for failure and party support will only further round up his outstanding positive features.

☆3/☆4 Toji

Class: Bruiser, Defensive Support

Gameplay Role:

Pros

+ Guaranteed obtain later in the game and through Friend Points gacha as 3☆.

+ LB1 Brawn bolsters his damage nicely and stacks with other more-common offensive buffs.

+ LB2 is moderately nice to bolster his and his allies’ durability, paired with Default for whoever is behind him.

+ LB3 is amazing by denying both skillcasting and Charge casting, the former being especially powerful.

Cons

- LB2 has a ho-hum proc rate with mediocre effect range.

- From previous point, he has barely standard durability before LB2 procs, it can prove especially troublesome if he’s hit by Wood.

- Past empowered damage from LB2, Charge isn’t anything worth mentioning.

☆5 Valentine Toji

Class:

Gameplay Role: Bruiser, Defensive Support

Pros

+ Contrary to the general archetype, his LB3 happens through attacking instead of moving, allowing for more flexibility when it comes to parties.

+ Attains Concentration naturally and constantly, bolstering his damage and rounding up his proc rates.

+ Retains his almost unique Double Seal, able to completely shut down priority targets with ease.

Cons

- Despite his ways of self-CP pumping, his Charge is okay at best with good damage if under LB2.

- Double Seal remains unable to reduce damage compared to Bind and trades off for locking off Charge skills, a tradeoff that pays off variably.

- Even though he mostly wants to sit and attack, he also wants to be a positioner every now and then, making a funny dichotomy to his design.
