Overview

True to his character, Tetsuya brings immortality that can be further exploited by allies in order to make him a literally unkillable unit, a trait that’s extremely scary to begin with, he also comes fully packed with two offensive buffs by being present, allowing his damage potential to be quite good while he tries to last through the fight. By far his trademark lies in his Guts spam before any otherwise lethal damage kicks in, with constant self-Cleanse and Bind immunity coming on a close second. On the other hand, healing doesn’t do a lot of favors for him, making his Charge mostly useful for burst damage and his Regen be wasted for the most part, be careful on relying on his defining traits too much, if chances are against you, he might end up easily defeated within the first few turns.

Class: Glass Cannon

Gameplay Role:

Pros

+ Has the unprecedented trait of being nearly immortal thanks to attaining Guts before any otherwise lethal damage does him in.

+ With the previous point, Rage has no downsides due to already being able to survive hits nonetheless, and still attains Default to further boost his damage.

+ Not just that, he cannot be shut down by Bind and shrugs off almost every other ailment known in the game.

+ If surviving at 1HP constantly is too much of a risk, he still has Regen+his Charge to heal back up if necessary.

Cons

- A very do or die playstyle, if Guts doesn’t proc each time he might be KO’d, his effectiveness drops.

- His self-cleanse only works on one ailment at a time, if he were to be hit by more than one at once.

- More often than not, all forms of healing from his own or allies is mostly inconsequential due to dropping to 1HP constantly thanks to Rage’s downsides and Guts spam.
