Overview
Tangaroa
Thanks to the evolution to his LB1, Tangaroa has become a powerful all-rounder who can comfortably fit into any team. With his increased horizontal movement, he can easily reposition himself and his allies while providing them with defense, plenty of healing, some increased damage and now with defense and healing for himself as well. This added self-defense allows for much better use of his LB3, providing his allies with further support. His range and LB2 give him a strong personal offense, while his CS can reliably cripple most enemies' skills. His only notable downside is a lack of self-healing past the early phase, making him potentially require some external sustain for extended fights.
Canaan Tangaroa
Tangaroa (Canaan) offers much the same that his regular version does, with an interesting twist - instead of on move, he supports his allies by getting hit. He firstly remedies his previous weakness of self healing exclusively at phase start, with a reliable flat heal, Nourishment+150~300HP/turn, ATK Up by 1.1x ~ 1.5x for 3 turns (Buff) and UnctionDEF Up by 0.85x ~ 0.425x, +150~300HP every turn for 2 turns (Buff) on move. Keeping his great repositioning through horizontal movement and good damage with VigorATK Up by 1.2x ~ 2.4x for 3 turns (Buff), his flat self-defense no longer requires him to move but instead activates before getting hit, which means he no longer needs to move every turn. His greatest strength is being able to share all this with his allies every time he is hit, where the flat healing allows him to save allies brought down to 0 HP too. Lastly, his CS expands on the original with added DEF UpDEF Up by 0.9x ~ 0.45x for 4 turns (Buff) and fat greater range, though this can potentially result in a waste.

Pros
+ Reliable defense and healing for himself and his entire team.
+ Can easily reposition everyone while supporting them.
+ Fairly reliable damage thanks to LB2.
Cons
- His team support is limited to directly adjacent allies, which can be limiting.
- Lack of self-healing past the early phase.
Canaan Tangaroa
Class: Mixed Support, Bruiser
Gameplay Role: Damage Dealer, Healer
Pros
+ Similar to his regular version, can provide great team healing, offensive and defensive support.
+ Retains great range and repositioning.
+ Beyond his own buffs, he can spread any external ones to his allies.
+ Potent CS that can cripple the entire enemy board while providing further team support.
Cons
- His activation rates are good but can sometimes prove unreliable.
- Getting hit is necessary for him to provide team support, but this depletes his CP with each hit and sets his powerful CS back.
- Can do nothing to save his team if enemies hit them first and avoid hitting him that turn.
