For this free quest, {{Attribute|Valiant}} {{Transient icon|Tezcatlipoca|rarity=5}} is the main threat of this quest, mainly due to his ability to both steal buffs and his innate {{Status|en name=Reflect Debuff}} which appears almost every turn including when he appears. Strong {{Attribute|World}} units such as {{Transient icon|Jacob|rarity=5}} or {{Transient icon|Wakan Tanka|variant=Fashionista}} are particularly helpful for dispatching Tezcatlipoca quickly. Other units with high damage output are also suitable here such as {{Transient icon|Aegir|variant=Christmas}}, {{Transient icon|Teda|rarity=4}}, and {{Transient icon|Balor|rarity=4}}. On the flip side, offensive buffers which permit such high damage output are also particularly valuable such as {{Transient icon|Leanan Sidhe|rarity=4}} and {{Transient icon|Ryota|variant=Christmas}}.
As Tezcatlipoca's Reflect Debuff is not foolproof, it is possible to bring debuffers to shut him down, although it would be wise to watch out for the effect being reflected back. Some examples here include {{Transient icon|Benten|rarity=4}} due to her immunity to {{Status|en name=Bind}} due to [[Binder+]], {{Transient icon|Azazel|rarity=4}} since his application of {{Status|en name=Skill Lock}} applies last, and again Christmas Aegir since his {{Status|en name=Charm}} applies after his application of {{Status|en name=Drain}}. This avenue of approach can be more difficult, so it's best to have a strong attacker listed above anyways.
The number of enemies here can actually lead to certain strategies to be created. Since there are so many enemies and only one enemy is allowed to move at once, this means that all other enemies including Tezcatlipoca will be stationary if this enemy is avoided. This can be seen in that it is possible to clear the quest with {{Transient icon|Shennong|rarity=4}} and Jacob alone. On the other hand, wiping out all of the mobs will cause Tezcatlipoca to be aggroed since he would be the only unit left, so do be careful with strategies that involve board wipes. Moreover, it would be good to watch out for his extended vertical movement.
Finally, the mobs can do deal a decent amount of damage, so having some sort of damage attenuation or strategic positioning is ideal. Units such as {{Transient icon|Marchosias}}, {{Transient icon|Seth|variant=Beachside}}, or {{Transient icon|Sitri|rarity=4}} are nice due to also having extra horizontal movement in addition to damage attenuation. Note that Jacob only receives 30% of the damage from {{Weapon|Blow}} enemies, so he is an ideal frontliner in this quest.
The following video provides a strategy to beat the quest using units able to be obtained freely outside of the regular gacha system.
