☆3/☆4 Shiro
Shiro, your MVP classmate and perhaps guaranteed unlock as 3☆ is a great support thanks to the many boons he has just by being present. LB1 Fear can allow for both a considerable cripple and free attacks for your allies depending on if they can outrange them, with LB2 being excellent to wear off most ailments from his allies and himself simply by attacking, adding to it comes LB3 Curse, which allows for considerable damage reduction towards many possible enemies and stacks with other damage reduction ailments. All of this backed up by his Mage range, which can easily abuse LB1-LB3 with ease. His only downside is Default, on 3☆, despite great effects, it can be kind of a waste given the low proc rate and requiring to move, which you frequently won’t be doing due to other characters offering much more benefit from this method, and the fact that his Charge becomes practically useless after LB1 is reached. He can be considered the cornerstone of any good party and is usually a safe bet if you need someone who averts most inconveniences with his presence.
☆4 Valentine Shiro
On paper, Valentine Gabriel and Shiro (Valentine) seem very similar, down to even their element and charge skills, but there are differences that are key to their performance. Shirou focuses more on healing and dishes a better immediate heal than Gabriel through his Charge, on top of this, he can apply the great Curse ailment on whatever he hits, which are bound to be a lot of enemies, increasing his efficiency considerably and his terrible durability partially. Also, unlike his original version, he can boast of considerably higher damage, just sacrificing the fact he is Fire instead of Dark. Overall a good offensive mage with potential to be great in the right party.

☆3/☆4 Shiro
Class: Disruptive Support
Gameplay Role: Immobilizer
Pros
+ 3☆ is a guaranteed unlock near the start of the game, with Default Encouragement on slight demand to help push some CP around.
+ LB1 Fear prevents enemy movement, which can cripple some units and perhaps allow free attacks if you outrange them.
+ LB2 Cleanse keeps his allies and himself free from most pesky ailments, especially thanks to its trigger method, which synergies with his attack range.
+ LB3 Curse serves as a great damage reduction ailment that he can apply to a huge amount of enemies at certain rate.
Cons
- 4☆ Default is useless due to his Charge being basically what LB1 already does, making it pretty redundant and perhaps useless.
- 3☆ Default has a very mediocre proc rate, its buff doesn’t scale either, making it a bit arbitrary to use.
☆4 Valentine Shiro
Class: Healer, Disruptive Support
Gameplay Role:
Pros
+ Fairly good damage output thanks to Default Berserk.
+ LB2 has Blessing as a nice passive heal buff with great effective range.
+ LB3 is fantastic, being the same as his original version and helps his party by reducing incoming damage, spread to a nice amount of enemies as well.
+ Charge is great, adding to his other healing methods and dealing considerable damage.
Cons
- His durability becomes terrible under Berserk, with Curse to partially alleviate it, this also makes Water a hard-counter compared to the original.
- LB2 is not that of a good heal and takes moving to proc it, with mediocre effect range.
