On the go, you see Chernobog slaps 3 ailments on his targets very easily, being Freeze, Intimidate and Curse, the former helps his and his party’s damage very well, the latter helps mitigating incoming damage and let him frontline against most others without much difficulties, while Intimidate serves as a partial setup thanks to nullified movement, which can cripple certain units considerably. He also gets KO insurance through Guts in case things get tricky, and his element helps with hitting considerably hard without having to worry about other elements. Even so, he’s an absolute frontliner and benefits from hitting whatever he can, so it’s important to keep him on the offense and help him through either offensive or defensive buffs, he works very well with either given his damage comes mostly out of Freeze and he doesn’t need to be worried about since he does everything simply by hitting enemies.

Class: Bruiser

Gameplay Role:

Pros

+ Default Guts serves as a good KO insurance against the odds.

+ Applies Freeze just by attacking through LB1, which serves as a great damage-increase ailment that he and his party easily approaches.

+ LB2 Intimidated and LB3 Curse locks enemies on their position and reduces their damage dealt, which proves a fantastic setup for your allies.

+ Charge allows Lord of Eternal Darkness special damage increase to be approached, with Omen being a tremendous DoT ailment by itself.

Cons

- Naturally has no way to reduce incoming damage, relying on applying Curse to his targets in order to be durable past Guts insurance.

- LB2, while serving well as a setup tool, can prove slightly inefficient if not pulled off properly, with it lasting far less than Fear does, which has very similar effects.

- Relies on Freeze to hit considerably harder and Omen to approach his special damage, which is only approached thanks to Charge.
