He talks at length about his dreams of having a huge harem, and the days go by as the number of yeses to his invitations remain a big fat zero. Ganglie has always been careful of deep love to the point that he seems to be avoiding it. Sometimes has flashes to the day he lost his wife, which is why he acts aloof and indulges himself as a flirty playboy. All that, and now he's decided to give things a serious go one last time. * He is based on the character from the Chinese novel "Journey to the west" [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhu_Bajie Zhu Bajie], who was a commander of the heavenly navy soldiers. He was banished for misbehavior with several figures and condemned (in some versions) to have a thousand lives on earth, where each one would end in a love tragedy.
* Once on Earth, he, by accident, fell into a pig well, and was reborn as a half-man, half-pig. In the story, he values himself so much, he tends to forget his horrible appearance, and had, since the transformation, been called Zhū Gāngliè (猪刚鬛), the Strong-maned pig.
