The Japanese wording of his Charge Skill in the game implies he gives Holy Oil to all enemies in a radius around him, but actually, what happens is he gives Holy Oil to all allies around him, and only enemies hit and damaged by his Charge Skill get Holy Oil applied.  Enemies 1 square away from Arslan do not get Holy Oil applied.<br />

The demerit of Arslan applying Holy Oil to enemies with his Charge Skill is not as bad as one might think.  Just like debuffs, buffs on the enemy countdown by 1 at the start of the enemies turn.  This means any Holy Oil given to the enemy will countdown from 2 to 1 right away, and then from 1 to 0 on their next turn.  In other words, the healing effects of Holy Oil only lasts 1 turn for the enemy.  And if you have Arlan attack last, the defense boost only affects the enemy for just 1 turn as well.
