==={{Star|5}} Tangaroa===

{{Transient icon|Tangaroa}} is a jack of all trades with a flavorfully selfless twist to his playstyle. Default and LB1 allows him to shower his allies with defensive buffs and a lot of healing thanks to flat HP heal and Regen being an astounding passive healing buff. LB2 helps his damage considerably, so he’s capable of comfortably fighting anything that gets in his way, blending well with his attack ranges. His LB3 is a nice yet strange bonus, Ardor is a rare offensive buff held back by its proc method, Tangaroa’s skills don’t affect him past LB2, so his endurance is quite subpar, bear this in mind and don’t let him face Fire, it may be certain death to him. His Charge is a nice utility bonus that promptly shuts down anything it hits and is most useful when a level is starting.
Thanks to the evolution to his LB1, {{Transient icon|Tangaroa|rarity=5|}} has become a powerful all-rounder who can comfortably fit into any team. With his increased horizontal movement, he can easily reposition himself and his allies while providing them with defense, plenty of healing, some increased damage and now with defense and healing for himself as well. This added self-defense allows for much better use of his LB3, providing his allies with further support. His range and LB2 give him a strong personal offense, while his CS can reliably cripple most enemies' skills. His only notable downside is a lack of self-healing past the early phase, making him potentially require some external sustain for extended fights.

==={{Star|5}} Canaan Tangaroa===

{{Transient icon|Tangaroa|variant=Canaan}} offers much the same that his regular version does, with an interesting twist - instead of on move, he supports his allies by getting hit. He firstly remedies his previous weakness of self healing exclusively at phase start, with a reliable flat heal, {{Status|en name=Nourishment}} and {{Status|en name=Unction}} on move. Keeping his great repositioning through horizontal movement and good damage with {{Status|en name=Vigor}}, his flat self-defense no longer requires him to move but instead activates before getting hit, which means he no longer needs to move every turn. His greatest strength is being able to share all this with his allies every time he is hit, where the flat healing allows him to save allies brought down to 0 HP too. Lastly, his CS expands on the original with added {{Status|en name=DEF Up}} and fat greater range, though this can potentially result in a waste.

'''Class:''' Healer, Defensive Support, Glass Cannon
'''Class:''' Mixed Support, Bruiser

'''Gameplay Role:'''
'''Gameplay Role:''' Damage Dealer, Healer

'''Pros'''
'''Pros'''

+ Naturally good at stacking up heals through many different ways, LB1 Regen being an amazing healing buff, Default’s healing on move and LB3 healing bit.
+ Similar to his regular version, can provide great team healing, offensive and defensive support.

+ Can apply both an offensive and defensive buff through LB3 and Default, respectively.
+ Retains great range and repositioning.

+ Has potentially very high damage thanks to Critical on hit.
+ Beyond his own buffs, he can spread any external ones to his allies.

+ Double Seal from Charge is sure to cripple any enemy it hits and does not require any scaling to be efficient.
+ Potent CS that can cripple the entire enemy board while providing further team support.

'''Cons'''
'''Cons'''

- Besides LB2, none of his buffs from his other skills apply to himself.
- His activation rates are good but can sometimes prove unreliable.

- Requires good positioning to be truly effective.
- Getting hit is necessary for him to provide team support, but this depletes his CP with each hit and sets his powerful CS back.

- He only has decent endurance, making it a bit tricky to exploit his LB3, especially against Fire, where matters can turn worse.
- Can do nothing to save his team if enemies hit them first and avoid hitting him that turn.
