* Shuten's Spring alt Charge Skill refers to [[wikipedia:Hanami|Hanami]], the practice of having a small party with friends, or family members under the blossoming cherry trees, or sakura, and in other cases, under Plum, or Ume trees. | |||
* Shuten is based on the legendary Oni [[wikipedia:Shuten-dōji|Shuten-Douji]] a fearsome Oni, said to live in Mt. Oe, where he and his company kidnapped women to have them as maids, but some of them killed them, ate their flesh and drank their blood. | |||
* This legend ends with Shuten-Douji decapitated, by [[wikipedia:Minamoto_no_Yorimitsu|Minamoto no Yorimitsu]], who got him drunk and bound by four deities. In a final attack, Shuten-Douji tried to bite his head off, but he survived having worn two additional helms besides his own. | |||
