In other words, no curse or malice can approach as he completely locks them out of the border. When he displays this power, all the hair on his body turns golden in color. That is proof of the ecstasy and exultation of cutting of contact with the physical world, also known as a trance. It is a ceremony where he relinquishes his self and offers himself to God. When his self collapses, his role is passed on to someone else, and so this round dance continues for eternity. Due to that, Barong wishes from the bottom of his hear that he is consumed completely. This comes from his nature as a show dancer, and he thinks of it as the happiest way to live. However, this attitude seems to be completely unacceptable to a certain someone who detests love affairs.
