The reason he continues running down that path is his desire for the power to rebel against the fate spun for him. Here in Tokyo Jugo does not have a weapon for fighting, or in other words a Sacred Artifact. The role he was given does not consider rebellion a good thing. He carries the blood of those who were once given to the Orochi as sacrificies, and he resists with only his own strength. He doesn't have the time to look around him. But this summer will tie him straight on to an unthinkable adventure through an encounter that will rock him to his core.
