* Taromaiti is based on the [[wikipedia:Daeva|daeva]], or demon, of the same name who represents the sin of scorn, causing people to see gods as demons and vice versa.
** Her name is derived from the Avestan tarêmaitîm, meaning apostasy, which is referenced in her Knight of Apostasy skill.
* The armor fused to Taromaiti's arm stems from a [[wikipedia:Zahhak|creature in Zoroastrianism]] known as Azi Dahaka in Old Persian, Zahak in modern Persian, and Azhak in Old Armenian, all of which can be translated as "dragon." Like Taromaiti's armor, Azi Dahaka was created by Ahriman.
** Azi Dahaka was the son of a wise and just king. However, after being tempted by a young companion who was Ahriman in disguise, Azi Dahaka murdered his own father. Following Azi Dahaka's ascension to the throne, Ahriman appeared again, this time presenting himself as a cook. Azi Dahaka's sought to reward the cook for his marvelous feasts; the cook asked only for permission to kiss the king's shoulders. The moment the deed was done, the cook disappeared, and black snakes sprouted from Azi Dahaka's shoulders.
