「待たせたな、さぁメシ行こうぜっ、キュウマ！」

「グンゾウ先輩　おれもう腹ペコっすよー！」 これまで、数々の有名アスリートを排出してきたことで知られる渋谷区の名門スポーツ校、依々祇学園。 鍛え上げられた身体のポテンシャルを最大限に引き出すその指導ノウハウは、常に向上の一途を続けているという。 ラグビー部のグンゾウと野球部のキュウマは、学年は違えど、仲の良い組み合わせだ。 ２人は屋外球技の部員同士、よく部室棟の前で出くわしては、帰り道を共にする親しい間柄である。 お互いの競技は違えど、スポーツへの真剣さや熱血ぶりに対して、通じ合うものがあるらしい。 また、彼らは実体を持たぬ「転光生」たちに憑りつかれている同士でもあり、言葉にせずともお互いに共感を抱いてもいるようだ。 そして、２人という「依代」の肉体の限界へのアプローチの差異を表現するならば、それはこのようになるだろうか。 「力と技」、「暴走と制御」、そして……。 いつか互いの道が別々になった時、２人はそれを思い出すのだろう。 あの夕暮れ時に、同じ道を帰ったあの瞬間が「青春」と呼ばれるものであったことを。
