World Representatives are those within The Game that are chosen by their World to represent their World’s System; be it through strength, faith, love, or other concepts that the World runs by, these Representatives fully embody the Systems of their respective Worlds. Many Representatives are related to the Sun as the Sun is often the literal highest object in a World, and thus becomes the highest object in a World’s hierarchy.

World Representatives hold the responsibility to protect their own World, making sure that it continues to thrive and continue on living. If they sense that a threat may endanger their World, many will look to take action against it, even if it deals with the Protagonist.

Representatives are typically related to or connected to the World’s exile. While many Representatives played a direct hand in the exiling, some exiles banished themselves out of their own volition, usually done in response to the Representative’s actions.

Due to many Worlds not holding the concept of outer space or alien worlds within their mythologies, many World Representatives hold a conceptual disadvantage against alien or otherworldly attacks, as seen with Nodens’s alien invasion that was able to kill most of the Representatives with ease in Nightglows of the Starlit Sky. After that event, this weakness has been brought to the attention of the Game Masters and is now controlled to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

According to Bael and as seen in Canaan - The Promised Land, the position of World Representative can be transferred to another suitable individual.

Representatives are often but not always Pillar owners. Notable examples of Representatives without their own Pillars are Unknown icon.pngMichael whose World denied him access to the Tree of Life and Temujin whose pillar is currently in the possession of Ulaanbaatar, who is hiding from him. Additionally, some Representative’s Pillars may be broken, such as Marduk whose stone tablet cannot retain memories after rebirth.

Former/Reserve World Representatives

World Representatives can lose their status by either being usurped by someone greater than them, passing it down to another who is capable of assuming the title, or being destroyed alongside their own World.

Reserve Representatives are those who are next in line for the title of World Representative in the event that the true Representative is unable or no longer able to act. Reserve Representatives still represent the World they are acting as a backup for, either through their power, belief, or as a proxy for the true Representative.

Notes

  • According to Takeminakata's profile, Okuninushi ( Daikoku) used to be the Representative of Takamagahara, but lost his position after his exile at Amaterasu's hands.
  • The rightful World Representative of Yggdrasil is Unknown icon.pngOdin. However owing to "special circumstances", Surtr was assigned as the World Representative of Yggdrasil. In his home world, he was also the one handed the role of exiling Freyr.
    • Ose acts as the Reserve World Representative to Unknown icon.pngOdin. As such, he can presumably use Odin's Rule, but is restricted from doing so when "certain conditions" are in place. Moreover, he has the ability to watch over Tokyo through the eyes of Unknown icon.pngOdin's crows.
  • Shinya was a member of the Invaders before leaving of his own accord after finding out the truth about The Game.
  • Shinya has been appointed the Reserve World Representative of Olympus. Because Zeus is absent and his Rule has been directed to flow into Shinya's body, Shinya is capable of using this Rule unrestricted.
    • Perun claims to have prevented Zeus from directly joining The Game due to them sharing the same Role and Rule.
    • In truth, the Prize System surrounding the Protagonist has been created by converting the System responsible for perpetuating the other world of Olympus; it's this System that possesses the same Role and Rule as Zeus.
    • Perun states that those that are heirs of Cronos are all in the line of Olympus' Representatives.
  • After the defeat of Wakan Tanka∞ at the end of Chapter 13, Bigfoot assumed the title and power of the Great Spirit World Representative.
  • Canaan Dagon was the Representative of Canaan, with Baal being chosen as his successor. However, the world was destroyed before Baal could fulfill his role. Bael would then attempt to recreate the World of Canaan to claim the title of World Representative for himself during the events of Canaan - The Promised Land; however, his attempts were foiled by the cast at the last moment.
  • For the purposes of giving Unknown icon.pngZeus a portrait when he has no sprite, a silhouette of Perun has been used. Within the VN, Perun’s sprite has also been used to be a stand-in for Zeus.

>>15687 I agree, the idea of the original residents of Tokyo attempting to destroy the System of the Game is really interesting.

Other than that, there might be a past loop where the Tokyoites waged their own war in attempt to get rid of the transients and close the portals to retain their original lives that are unwillingly became part of the Game.

If by chance or some twist of faith within the game, Is there a possibility that either Gilgamesh or Enkidu be the other representative and/or other exile of Babilim?

Introducing a 24th representative or perhaps another substitute/extra representative would be both exciting and somewhat predictable. I mean if the exiles from Eden and Gehenna are one and/or connected, the possibility of having two or more exiles and representatives from the same world wouldn't be impossible. Another thing is that I think the position of being a powerful being in a world can be shared between two or more individuals. Like in Olympus for example, Shinya might be the substitute representative but Hera, being the queen of gods is also suitable for the position along with Hercules. Yet in the end, these are just my ideas hoping to become a reality.

... other than that, Heliopolis seriously needs relevance hahaha :D

I know you hear about Transient discrimination but you never really see it, and when you do its being done by other Transients. I think you could make a great villain out of the idea that they want to return things back to the way it used to be and have all the world's separate completely. I just think it be nice to have a human antagonist for a change instead of various gods or super science mutant children.

Anyone else want to see a main antagonist whose not only a human but an adult who sees all the events of this game as proof that Transients are a danger to humanity? It would make perfect sense for a character like that to exists. Yeah we have Toji but you think their be more people like him.

Chapter 9 reveals that Zeus cannot appear in Tokyo due to Perun arriving first before him. Has to be someone else. Maybe Hera? They specifically said that the Representative from Olympus is someone from the bloodline of Cronos.

My guess is Zeus for olympus and Gilgamesh or Enkidu from Gehenna and Protagonist for Utopia if he joined.
