+As the Protagonist subdues Hati, Maria tries to transfer his injuries to herself, but Hati stops her. He asks were why she was always there for him even though no one else cared, and she tells him that, even though people might scorn him, if he has a few people there for him, he will still be remembered, causing him to ask Maria if she will be friends with him. At that point, Ryota and Shiro, having lost track of Nyarlothep, catch up to them, only to find Maria dying with Hati having no idea how to help her. Unable to comprehend losing her and despite Nyarlathotep's attempts to get him to forget her, Ryota's grief gives his Sacred Artifact the power necessary to heal Maria's wounds.
+Though confused about the inconsistency of Nyarlathotep's actions, Hati leads the group to Gabriel and Arsalan's location. As the others work to find the cell Arsalan was in, Hati apologizes to Gabriel, promising to stay away from her in the future, but Gabriel allows him to offer her indirect support. The mood is broken, however, when Shiro and Ryota find Arsalan asleep and unaware of what happened. Once awake and properly clothed, Arsalan thanks the Protagonist for saving him, though the group is somewhat annoyed at his flippancy over being held captive. However, their conversation ends when they ask Arsalan to reign in Zabaniyya before he seriously hurts Kengo.
