This distracting gives Ryota, who managed to follow the Protagonist there, enough time to heal their wounds, giving them enough power to sever the energy flow and return Zabaniyya to normal. Zabaniyya congratulates them, revealing his last bit of sanity through the fight out of a desire to face someone willing to protect the people he was tasked to punish. As the two form a pact, Zabaniyya thanks Ryota for being the catalyst for him finding what he was looking for and asks that the Protagonist help Ryota end the Fisher King's rampage.
