* Itzamna is named after a deity of the same name in Maya mythology. A creator god and sky deity, he is one of the important gods in the Maya pantheon often depicted as an old man. There are many interpretations on what his name could mean with "lizard house" or "sorcerer" being one of the ones that are more well known. In rituals, he is invocated as the very first priest in Maya mythology with him being the one to teach humans the art of writing and books.
** His charge skill "Itzamna Kinich Ahau" suggests that he has a connection or that he is also the sun god Kinich Ahua, which was thought to be an aspect of the creator god. And the "Scale Rain Creation" is a reference to Itzamna being a creator god and also being a rain god.
