According to tales passed down in Tir na Nog, he is a being born from the terror held in the hearts of children. He believes that when children do something dangerous, experiencing a terrifying ordeal will prevent them from doing it again. In practical terms, he's known as an extremely strict teacher at the school, and he's feared for the portable gardening tools he carries around. It isn't his intention to do so, but when he scares his students the light of life goes out of his eyes out of depression. This further scares students, and so a horrible feedback loop is created. If the hemp linen Sacred Artifact around his waist wraps around someone into an Enclosed Area, it can transport them to another area whether or not said target physically exists. He often socializes with another troubled teacher from another school who also gets avoided by his student(s?) to vent to each other over drinks and sometimes brag about said students. Boogeyman is in charge of the class a certain young photography club member is in, and he seems to have some sympathy for him as someone who is also a horror-type being. He highly values the production of horror shows, and he is part of the guild of actors and performers. As such, the experience of being liked by others always felt like a fate far removed and unrelated to him. That in turn means that he regards affection in all its forms as sacred, and by nature he cannot intentionally disregard anyone who would hurt those they love as friends, family, or something more. Boogeyman exists in other kinds of faith in great numbers, but his power is a gathering of all these fragments into one existence. This means he is an extremely unstable existence, and when the fear towards his legends dies down he might disappear from the world with it. He is arguably the one most starved for affection than anyone, yet he will never receive love from crowds of people. When children's minds are taken out by Boogeyman, their bodies have a substitute fairy skilled at mimicry placed in them to act as the original person. Due to that, hardly anyone around these cases of mental changelings notice anything had happened. According to dream eaters, the nightmares he gives to children suck bad. Boogeyman works as both an elementary school teacher at Shinjuku Academy and a stagehand for a certain theatre troupe. Since coming to Tokyo, Boogeyman's learned of many horrors beyond his specialty in occult horror. There's kaiju attack horror, gothic horror that started with vampires, maddening cosmic horror, and the modern horror of urban legends. He's learned that sometimes people indulge in horror for fun, and creating a new bond with children besides causing trauma has shown him a new path in life. In his attempt to explore this possibility, Boogeyman has stepped on to a certain theater's stage this summer. In the midst of his short vacation, he had the experience of creating a work of art together with his friends. He will be there on stage together with his partner as the screaming cheers and the applause like storming thunder rains down. And here Boogeyman comes looming over, saying it won't be enough to just leave these as just a summer's memories. Lately Boogeyman's been seen with his newly welcomed student going "woooo where are yoooou" and looking around.}}
