Andvari's Shop is an Item Exchange introduced during the 3rd Anniversary event along with the Weekly Missions. It can be found in the Shop -> Exchange event items menu.

General Information

The shop uses a specific currency, Rainbow Shard, that can be obtained by completing the Weekly Missions.

Two types of items are being sold there: refreshable and non-refreshable. Refreshable items include expendable resources like Transient Stones or Stamina Drinks. They reset their stock count at the start of each month.

Besides the valuable resources, the item exchange also contains some characters, decorations and AR Equipment from past events' item exchanges. This way, players that started playing the game late can still get currently unobtainable content if they so desire.

This shop also contains exclusive items, like the Revere Thy Teachers AR Equipment.

List of items

Refreshable

The following items have their stock reset at the start of the first day of each month in Japan. Items before the reset do not "accumulate", e.g. whether the shop had 0 remaining tickets to sell or 10, at the start of the next month Andvari will offer you 10 tickets.

Strategy

Transient stone shards are a valuable resource that can currently only be obtained in fixed amounts every week, so budget them wisely.

  • It is highly recommended to purchase at least one copy of the Revere Thy Teachers AR. Among other things, it funnels all earned unit xp after a battle to a unit that holds it, which makes it easier to manage leveling up your units by making sure that earned xp will not be wasted on transients that have already reached their level cap when you're in the process of leveling another unit. It is especially useful when completing Dungeon Quests.
    • Purchasing additional copies of the above-mentioned AR is optional. Higher max level will increase the amount of bonus unit xp after winning a battle.
  • In most cases it is better to buy tickets over transient stones.
    • While the 10-pulls with stones may look tempting, purchasing tickets will give you twice as many chances for summoning, which outweighs the power of the 10th pull in most scenarios.
Stones vs. Tickets Calculation

With weekly missions, the same amount of shards can be used to purchase either 50 stones for a guaranteed multiroll or 20 tickets. This is equivalent to choosing between one guaranteed / unit or 11 tickets since the first nine rolls are effectively identical. The comparison between the two choices are presented in the table below including the statistics of a single summon for reference.

Method Probability of at least one unit Probability of at least one unit Probability of no / units Expected number of units Expected number of units
Single summon 18% 2% 80% 0.18 0.02
Last roll of 10 summon 96% 4% 0% 0.96 0.04
11 tickets 88.7% 19.9% 8.6% 1.98 0.22

As shown in the table above, there are many benefits from pulling with the additional 11 tickets instead of the guaranteed pull. Focusing on the acquisition rates first, the second column of the table shows the probability of obtaining at least one unit without caring about either or units. The lower probability from 96% to 88.7% may seem discouraging at first, but this is counterbalanced by the fact that the expected amount of units one can obtain is doubled. With the last roll of a guaranteed summon, it's only possible to obtain exactly one unit while 11 tickets have the ability of summoning more past that. This ties into the data of the fourth column which shows the effective risk. With a rather small amount of risk of 8.6%, rolling 11 tickets has the chance of producing the same results and more.

In regards to units however, tickets are clearly the winner here. The probability of obtaining a unit and the expected number effectively quintuples in value in comparison to the guaranteed roll. Since most people will be chasing units as they are arguably the most popular, tickets are a much better choice than stones.

There are also some minor benefits with tickets that are unable to be represented in the table clearly. The first benefit is unit variety in which one may value having a diverse pool of transient pulls which is usually the case for beginners. The second benefit is Sacred Artifact level, in which tickets are easily more capable of raising in value.

With all that being said, the choice is still ultimately up to individual preference. An extremely risk-adverse individual may balk at the 8.6% chance of not receiving any higher rarity units, so in this case, one should opt for stones instead. In most cases however, this probability is not that much of a deterrence and the potential benefits are far greater, so tickets are clearly the better option.

  • If you don't have any copies of the welfare units in this shop, you can consider purchasing each of the units once and complete both their Skill Quests and Character Quests for a total of 2 transient stones for 10 shards. Obviously, this can only be done once and is only applicable to new players.
  • Avoid purchasing Souls, Boosts or AR tokens. Those are common resources that can easily be obtained in Daily Quests, Event Quests or Dungeon Quests.
  • If you haven't already maxed out your Guild Rank, avoid purchasing more than 20 copies of Protagonist. (You'll eventually get the remaining 80 copies as guild rewards)

Both tickets and stones get you 9 gacha rolls at standard rates, so these are ignored when comparing the two - you're comparing 1 guaranteed 4/5* to (20-9) 11 standard pulls.

May I know why 11 tickets are used for calculation instead of 10?
