{{#vardefine:transient jp en research file|Tezcatlipoca is the acting agent of El Dorado's fate called the World Representative. To fulfill that role, the black mirror Sacred Artifact he was given has the power to project what happens anywhere, even things that occurred in the past. He uses it to project his "former body" and pretend that he is in good health. He simultaneously loves and hates war above all. He is both the exiler and exiled from the world. This is a necessary condition to represent System El Dorado, which upholds the belief that sacrifice in itself is an honor as its greatest feature. He has a resolute belief in the connection between slaves and destiny, so he has sympathies from those like him. Also, he has something very close to compassion towards the pain of those who present an opposite side of themselves in private like himself.}} | |||

Notes
- The Representative of the world El Dorado.
- Tezcatlipoca is based on the god of the same name in Aztec mythology. A central deity that is often associated with the night sky, the north, obsidian, rulership, and war. Also often associated with the Jaguar with Tezcatlipoca in the game having the appearance of a melanistic jaguar, also known as a black panther.
- He, along with his brother Quetzalcoatl, are considered creator gods as the two joined forces and used the body of a crocodilian creature named Cipactli, who ate Tezcatlipoca's foot, and formed her body into the land. They then proceeded to create humans and they had to offer sacrifices to appease Cipactli for her sufferings.
- In the legend of the Five Suns, the primordial god created the four Tezcatlipoca which resided over the cardinal directions. The White Tezcatlipoca that ruled over the west eventually became known as Quetzalcoatl, the Blue Tezcatlipoca in the south became known as Huitzilopochtli, the Red Tezcatlipoca in the east became known as Xipe Totec, and to the north the Black Tezcatlipoca retained his name.
- His name in Nahuatl language is often translated as "Smoking Mirror", which is one of Tezcatlipoca's titles in the game.
- Tezcatlipoca's skills are referencing some aspects of the deity.
- "Smokescreen Commander" is a reference to his name of "Smoking Mirror" which itself alludes to obsidian which were made into mirrors in Mesoamerican cultures and was often time described to be emanating smoke.
- "Sacrifice Receiver" is a reference to how Mesoamerican cultures would have rituals of human sacrifice and as a central deity he had his festival held during Toxcatl where a warrior is chosen as a sacrifice to the god.
- "Overthrower of the Sun" is a reference to the legend of the Fifth Sun where Tezcatlipoca was the first sun who was overthrown by Quetzalcoatl due to a sibling rivalry and him overthrowing all the other suns that followed except for the last and current sun, Huitzilopochtli.
- "Remainder of Great War" is a reference to Tezcatlipoca's status as a war god.
- Tezcatlipoca calls the Protagonist as his exiled brother Quetzalcoatl.
- As Xolotl is considered Quetzalcoatl's twin brother, it would effectively mean that Xolotl and Tezcatlipoca are also brothers.
- His charge skill "Titlacauan" is one of Tezcatlipoca's titles, and it means "We Are His Slaves."
- Tezcatlipoca's use of Hombre Tigre as a body that he can possess is similar to how he would wear the jaguar god Tepēyōllōtl as a way to trick other gods to not knowing who he was.
- Hombre Tigre also gave/sacrificed his own heart for Tezcatlipoca and Tepēyōllōtl's name translates to "Heart of the Mountain" or "Mountainheart" from the Nahuatl language.
